She's covered sports for some of the most prominent media in the world. Her time working at The Washington Post was spent reporting on several Olympics, Grand Slam Tennis, football and basketball. In 2004 Nichols was transferred to ESPN for nine years during which she was awarded 2 Emmy Awards and appeared on many of the network's most watched programs, like SportsCenter as well as NFL Countdown. She has also worked for TBS reporting as an anchor covering baseball and golf coverage. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. Only the second woman has been picked from over two hundred nominations in the 42-year old history of the award.
